Post and Beam Pty. Ltd. is not a big firm, because I prefer it that way. It allows me adequate time to discuss the client´s individual needs, provide the finest materials, skilled craftsmanship, and be at the client´s side if need be. About your builder

David Baetge was born in Melbourne in 1947. He studied both Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the Gordon Institute of Technology.

While working in the corporate environment, he completed an Economics Degree and he built his own mud brick post and beam home. This changed his life. He was so captivated by the process of this form of building that he resigned his corporate job and has spent nearly 30 years designing and building post and beam homes.

He is a registered Energy Assessor with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Victoria. Victoria. He is a Corporate Member of the Earth Building Association of Australia (EBAA) and was Executive Officer of this organisation. He has represented EBAA on committees involved in designing earth building standards for Australia and New Zealand and also the Australian Building Codes Board responsible for energy efficiency provisions in the Building Code of Australia.
